Bacton Towers Action respond to Camden Council

Bacton Towers Action (BTA) recently responded to a joint letter from Councillor Sagal Abdi-Wali and Councillor Nasrine Djemai published in the Camden New Journal which sought to reassure local residents of the planned Bacton Estate development.

BTA’s response cited a number of concerns with the plans and the Councillors arguments, including:

  • The height and density of the planned development.
  • The very limited increase in social housing to the original Bacton estate despite the significant increase in overall housing.
  • The reasons behind why Mount Anvil seem to have been selected to oversee the development.
  • The impact of the development on the local community and local infrastructure.

BTA’s letter received the signature of over 90 local residents in just a matter of days – a significant show of local sentiment towards the plans.
